Nothing has really changed though, don’t worry. The Round Table will be back soon, and our new radio station Proximity will be launching on Friday at 6pm.
We simply decided it was time to ditch our old name, which was conceived in the pub in a rush to get things off the ground, eventually we found out that “Pryzm” is the name of every production company, radio station, record label and club, in the entire world. So we sat down and worked out what we are actually aiming for, and through that, came up with “Opposition”.
- Like any media company, we’re bound to face rivalry, and the idea of another company “battling the Opposition” one day sounds pretty hard core.
- We’re against commercialism and spin-off artists. Sure we want to make profit ourselves, but not at the expense of making great and unique content. We want people to know that what we make is as original as we can go, not an exhausted copy of another entity.
- Unlike some (or most) content creators, our work is genuine (see point two) and most of time takes just as long to conceptualise as it does to create the actual content.
We believe that a media company can do way more than just create content. It can inspire budding creators, create emotional connections and innovate the industries both by creating new methods of content creation, and by being a good leader, pushing forward towards bigger and better things.
